Voices: Manitoba’s Youth in Care Network provides support, encouragement, and advocacy to young people in and from care in Manitoba.  We come alongside youth while they are in care, as they transition to in(ter)dependence, and as they grow into adults pursuing their goals.  We are youth-driven and youth-focused. 

We raise awareness of the challenges youth-in-care face, educating the public and working with child welfare professionals to create a better system of care in Manitoba.  Improving living  conditions for children and youth who find themselves in alternative care, such as foster homes, group homes, and independent living programs.

Our programs and activities are open to all youth in & from care 12 to 30 years old. We have a growing youth membership comprised of the many cultures and ethnicities that reside in Manitoba.

Voices ROx: Zumba
Feb 20 @ 4:15 pm – 6:00 pm

Get your feet moving, your hips shaking, your arms waving, and your face smiling as Johnathan leads us in a Zumba work-out that will leave your feeling like you conquered the world!  Bring your water bottle.  A healthy snack provided after the workout.

Voices ROx (Randon Oxygen) is an alumni-initiated program to give youth in and from care an opportunity to participate in fun, challenging physical activities.  We welcome ideas of activities to try! Email info@voices.mb.ca

Join us for our weekly radio broadcast where we discuss topics important to youth in and from care.  Featuring guests that include youth, young adults, child welfare professionals, and community leaders.  Our goal is to help the general public understand the child welfare system better, so that you will help make the system better.

Expand on your leadership training and learn how to be a camp counsellor.  Trainers from Momenta (http://experiencemomenta.com) will teach us how to lead children and youth on safe adventures at our first ever youth in care summer camp (hey, you asked for it!).

Voices Scholarship Awards Evening

Join us for an evening to celebrate the 2017-2018 Voices Scholarship Program participants.  We will recognize the recipients of the Peter D. Curry Memorial Scholarship, Voices Bursary, and Lemonade Award.

Advisory Committee Meeting
