The Department of Families within the Manitoba Government is looking for youth to help bring awareness to The National Day of Truth and Reconciliation (Orange Shirt Day) on September 30th.

They are seeking a youth to design a logo (that will be printed on orange paper) representing what Truth and Reconciliation means to you.

The design should be in black ink only, so that it is easy to photocopy, and must include the slogan “Every Child Matters”.

Please include a separate write up about what truth and reconciliation means to you and the reason behind your design.

The youth whose artwork is chosen will receive an honorarium of $200. The winner will be asked to send a photo of themselves. Your name will be shared unless you want to remain anonymous.

The poster will be shared with the whole Department of Families, and will be posted in all the offices. VOICES will also share the chosen artwork on our social media.

Final submissions to be sent in by September 12, 2022 to VOICES. Send your design to ask@voices.mb.ca. Remember to include a paragraph about what Truth and Reconciliation means to you.
